Don't mind the mess

I am in the process of moving Total iPad from a self-hosted Wordpress blog over to Blogger. With the recent integration of Google+ comments into Blogger this is the perfect chance for me to continue posting content to Total iPad while adding some interaction with fellow iPad users in the process. With Total iPad I have always kept comments turned off because I was getting an enormous amount of spam or trolling comments. With Google+ comments I can control what comments show up on the blog more easily as I don't get a lot of spam on Google+, well not on most of my post anyway. Trolls yes but not spam. The trolls are easy to manage though, a simple click of the block button and no more negativity.

In the process of moving all the content from Wordpress to Blogger some things will be broken. Images are the biggest problem, you might read a post and notice the image is broken. That is because when I imported all my post from Wordpress the images were hosted on the hosting account. I will have to manually go through all 400+ post and check to see which post had images and which ones didn't. Tags will also be broken, I think. Some of my video tutorials might not work as not all my videos were hosted on my YouTube channel. Some of the videos where self-hosted like the images and those will be broken. Also I was using a Bluberry plugin to push my content to iTunes and I think those videos were also broken. I have a lot of work ahead of me but I will get it all back to normal, it might take a couple of weeks but it will be worth it in the long run!

I honestly wasn't sure I wanted to even keep Total iPad but I enjoy doing reviews of Apps and I like the Google+ integration so why not?

Episode 37 (Part 2)

This is the second part to Episode 37, as I said in part 1, I wanted to try something different with this podcast and wanted to do a video version of it. I know it sucks that I had to break it up into 2 parts and I probably will not do that every time if I decide to continue doing the video portion of it, this was just a test to see how well it works or doesn't work.

Anyway, we talk about Google Currents not only the App but also how it can help content creators get their content out to the world. Google gives you the tools it is your job to build something.

Be sure to follow me online elsewhere..

I would love to have any of my fellow readers follow or friend me on any of my most used social sites. My new YouTube channel desperately needs some subscribers and the videos sure could use a few 'Thumbs Up', my Tumblr is my personal spot on the Internet and I don't always post the most family friendly stuff on there so be forewarned. My Twitter is is about the same as my Tumblr, it is not iPad related at least not my personal Twitter account, I post anything from games I am playing, music I am listening to, or the mood I am in currently. The Total iPad Twitter and Facebook pages are just that, most of what I post on there are things that I post from here. Every now and then I will Tweet interesting iPad related things on the Twitter page but for the most part it is just an easy way to read Total iPad without actually having to visit Total iPad.

Episode 19 - DragNSync

The full podcast can be found here: http://totalipad.info/episode19/

This episode of Total iPad Weekly I had the honor of interviewing Max Stewart of AppSophic/Ai2, he is their Director of Marketing. We had a wonderful discussion about using the iPad, some of Max’s favorite applications as well as getting down to the nitty gritty of DragNSync and the Ai2 enterprise application for the iPad.
AppSophic is the company behind DragNSync a file management and hidden folder application for the iPad. We discuss DragNSync at length, talking about some of the features of the application, a few changes they had to make to the application so that Apple would allow it in the App Store as an all ages app, as well as how to use DragNSync on the iPad.
