Sumo.FM for iPad (review)

Sumo.FM is a terrific art application for the iPad. I am not a very artistic individual but I do love to doodle on my iPad from time to time. I own quite a few 'art' apps on my iPad and most of those apps are more expensive or include a ton of in-app purchases that force me to pay a lot more money to unlock the full app. WIth Sumo.FM you pay $1.99 and you get the full application. In-app purchases may come at a later date, I have no knowledge of that but as it stands now you pay 1 time and unlock the full application. Sumo.FM supports full Retina resolution so your creations look beautiful on the 3rd generation iPad. Sumo.FM features a ton of artistic brushes that require no drawing skill at all, setup your brushes and begin creating what you envision. For further proof that I have no artistic skill or the fact that you do not need artistic skill to create a masterpiece check out my gallery below that features a few of my creations.

Sumo.FM features a full color palette that allows you to choose a full range of colors for your different brushes. The app also features 40 brushes that allows you to adjust the settings for each brush or use the preset brushes. The adjustments you can make to each brush is as follows:

• Spacing


• Angle


• Auto Orient


• Auto Size


• Gravity


• Scattering


• Angle


• Size

You may also adjust the size of the brush from 0%-100% for the thickness and the opacity of the ink from 0%-100%. You can also choose to multiply your brush from 1 to 32, what I mean by multiply for example is if you choose the 'foot' brush and have it set to 5, when you paint you will get 5 'feetprint' on screen instead of 1 footprint.
