Quick Capture for OmniFocus

I stumbled across this little gem on Twitter today, if you are an OmniFocus user and would like a quick way to enter an action in the Inbox then follow the instructions HERE. Basically you will just go to the link on your iPad or iPhone, when the link opens you will tap the 'share' button and add the page to your home screen. When you tap the newly created icon it will launch OmniFocus on your iPad and the Quick Entry screen will be open. You must have internet action to use this shortcut though, just a heads up before you start using it and realize it doesn't work without internet connectivity.

Ideally there would be a "Capture" icon on my iPhone homescreen that would take me instantly to the "Quick Entry in Inbox" action. Turns out this is totally doable!


If you type omnifocus:///add into mobile safari it takes you right to that screen. The hard part was figuring out how to make an icon on the desktop that links to that url.

Just click the link below and then, click "share" icon(the box with the arrow) and select "Add to Homescreen"
