Turn off Archiving in Gmail on the iPad

A quick iPad tip or actually it is an iOS tip as this same tip applies to the iPhone and iPod Touch as well. If you do not want to archive your deleted emails in Gmail using the Mail.app on your iOS device. To disable archiving you will need to do the following:

  1. Open Settings >

  2. Mail, Contact, Calendars >

  3. Select your Gmail account >

  4. Archiving = OFF
